Buffalo Outdoor · Owner, certified applicator TPCL #0822926 · Updated August 2026 · 14 min read
Buffalo Outdoor sells pest control as a year-round plan rather than a per-visit call. Home Defender starts at $35.99 a month, Complete Home Defense at $49.99, and both include fire ant treatment. Mosquito, Flea & Tick runs $400 to $750 for a full season. Every figure on this page is ours, published up front.
What You Actually Pay, by Service
These are our current Fort Worth prices. Ranges exist because a quarter-acre lot in Saginaw and a two-acre place in Aledo are not the same job.
| Program | How it is sold | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Home Defender | Year-round, 4 visits a year, monthly billing | $35.99–$59/mo |
| Complete Home Defense | Home Defender plus the entire yard | $49.99–$69.99/mo |
| Mosquito, Flea & Tick, season | 8 visits, April to September | $400–$750 |
| Mosquito, Flea & Tick, per visit | What the season works out to per treatment | $49–$79 |
| Fire ant treatment | Whole-yard broadcast bait | Included with both plans |
| Chiggers and lawn insects | Covered by the yard treatment on the plans | Included |
| Rodent control | Inspection, exclusion, trapping, follow-up | Quoted for the property |

Try It on Your Own House
Rather than read a table, put your own numbers in. Home plans price on the square footage of the house; Mosquito, Flea & Tick prices on lot size. This is the same math we use on the phone.
What Makes One Quote Higher Than Another?
- Square footage of the house. Home Defender and Complete Home Defense are priced on it. An 1,800 square foot house has maybe 180 linear feet of foundation and eave line. A big place can run triple that.
- Lot size. Mosquito, Flea & Tick is priced primarily on lot size, because the treatable habitat is the whole property rather than the ring around the house.
- How bad it already is. An established fire ant population or a full flea infestation takes more product and more time on the first visits.
- Season. May and June are peak in North Texas, and nobody discounts peak.
What a National Company Does Differently
A national technician treats your foundation and leaves. Mosquitoes, chiggers, fleas, ticks and fire ants live in the yard, so our plans treat out to 25 feet as standard and Complete Home Defense treats the whole property. Fire ants are included rather than upsold, and the weep holes get Delta Dust on every visit; copper mesh weep-hole exclusion is available as an add-on.
Most of the pests that bite you in your own backyard never come inside. That is why we treat the yard, the perimeter and the eaves, not just the baseboards.
When Is Professional Pest Control Not Worth It?
We will say this plainly, because most companies will not. If you saw two ants in your kitchen in February, you do not need a plan. Wipe the trail, find the entry, and call us in April if it comes back. Our plans are year-round because that is what actually holds a property, so if you genuinely only have a one-weekend-a-year problem, we are not the cheapest answer and we will tell you so.
What Does DIY Actually Cost over a Season?
Run the numbers before you decide. A hose-end mosquito concentrate is about $22 and covers roughly 5,000 square feet for five to seven days in Texas summer heat. Treating a quarter-acre yard weekly from April through September takes around 26 applications. That is $180 to $260 in product, plus about thirteen hours of your Saturday mornings, for a barrier that never reaches the underside of the shrubs where the adults actually rest.
