Home Defender & Complete Home Defense

Year-round pest protection, four visits a year, fire ants included. No contract, and 100% warrantied between treatments.

Home Defender is year-round pest protection for Fort Worth and North Texas homes, starting at $35.99 a month. Four scheduled visits a year cover the perimeter and the eaves, a treated ring about 25 feet out from the house, the applicable lawn treatment and the weep holes. Fire ant treatment is included. There is no contract.

What Is Included in the Home Defender Plan

A perimeter program is not a single spray. It is a list of jobs done in the same visit, and skipping any one of them is why a cheaper quote does not hold.

  • Four scheduled visits a year. Year-round protection, timed to the seasons when pest pressure shifts.
  • The perimeter and the eaves. A liquid barrier around the entire foundation and three feet up the wall, plus an eave, soffit and door-frame sweep with a web pole, which is what stops wasps and spiders rebuilding.
  • About 25 feet out from the house. A granular barrier broadcast into the turf and landscape beds, because that is where the biters actually breed.
  • The applicable lawn treatment. Whatever the yard needs on that visit to keep the pests out of it.
  • Fire ant treatment. Included on both Home Defender and Complete Home Defense, not sold as an add-on.
  • The weep holes, treated. Delta Dust applied in every brick weep hole, the most-used entry point into the home. Copper mesh exclusion is available as an add-on.
  • One interior treatment if you need it. Included, not billed as an extra visit.
  • Retreatments between scheduled visits. Your service is 100% warrantied between treatments, so anything that comes up in between is covered.

Why the Copper Mesh Matters

Brick homes have weep holes along the bottom course that let the wall drain. They are also the front door for insects, scorpions and mice. Packing them with copper mesh blocks the opening without trapping moisture and, unlike steel wool, it will not rust and stain your brick. Home Defender treats the weep holes with Delta Dust on every visit, and copper mesh exclusion is available as an add-on service.

Complete Home Defense

Complete Home Defense is the same year-round protection as Home Defender, plus treatment of the entire yard rather than the ring around the house. Fire ant treatment is included, and there is no contract on either plan. It runs $49.99 to $69.99 a month, and it is the right plan if you also fight fleas, ticks, chinch bugs or armyworms across the whole property. See the full price list →

What Does It Cost?

Home Defender runs $35.99 to $59 a month and Complete Home Defense runs $49.99 to $69.99 a month, both billed monthly for four visits a year. Pricing is based on the square footage of the house. Retreatments between scheduled visits are included, because your service is 100% warrantied between treatments, and one interior treatment is included if you need it.

Which Pests Do the Plans Cover?

The barrier is built for the crawling and clinging pests that live outside and come in looking for water, food or shelter: ants, fire ants, spiders, wasps, roaches, crickets, silverfish, earwigs, pillbugs, millipedes, centipedes and scorpions. It is not a mosquito program and it is not a termite program.

Tom on spiders and wasps: the two callbacks the eave sweep and web pole are there to prevent.

If your problem is mosquitoes, fleas or ticks, that is Mosquito, Flea & Tick, our full-season program. If you have rats or mice, that is rodent control. Termites need a licensed termite operator and we will refer you to one.

Why We Treat the Outside Instead of the Inside

Almost every pest you find indoors nested outdoors first. Treating the interior kills what already got in and does nothing about the source, which is why interior-heavy programs need constant repeat visits. Building the barrier outside means the population never reaches the door, and the products stay away from your kitchen, your kids and your pets.

Is DIY Perimeter Spray Worth Trying?

Partly. Sealing weep holes yourself with copper mesh is genuinely effective and we have a video showing exactly how. Clearing mulch back off the slab and fixing door sweeps helps. Where store spray falls down is longevity: a hardware-store concentrate breaks down in roughly a week in Texas summer heat, so you would be respraying the entire foundation every weekend to match what one professional application holds for three months.

Home Defender Questions

How often do you come out?

Four times a year, roughly every three months, timed to the seasons when pest pressure shifts. Your service is 100% warrantied between treatments, so if something comes up between visits we come back and re-treat at no charge.

Do I need to be home?

No, we just need gate access. You get a text when the technician is on the way.

Is it safe around kids and pets?

Yes, once it dries, which takes about two hours in summer heat. Everything is labeled for residential use and applied at label rate by a licensed applicator, and because we treat outside, the product stays away from where your family actually lives.

What is the copper mesh for?

Brick homes have weep holes along the bottom course that let the wall drain. They are also the front door for insects, scorpions and mice. Copper mesh blocks them without trapping moisture, and unlike steel wool it will not rust and stain your brick. It is an optional add-on to the plan.
