Pest Control in Southlake, TX

Big lots, heavy landscaping and Grapevine Lake to the north. The most mosquito-driven town on our map.

SOUTHLAKE, RIGHT NOW

What Is Biting in Southlake This Month

Southlake has the largest average lot size and the heaviest ornamental landscaping in our service area, and both work against you with mosquitoes. Dense shrub beds are exactly where adults rest during the day, and proximity to Grapevine Lake and Bob Jones adds ticks and chiggers that most of our other towns do not deal with.

Large Lots and Dense Ornamental Beds

A Southlake back yard often has more planted square footage than an entire Saginaw lot. That landscaping is beautiful and it is also prime mosquito habitat: shaded, irrigated and dense. Fogging those beds properly is most of the job here, and it is why treatment pricing runs at the top of our range.

Toward Bob Jones and the Lake Edge

Properties on the north side toward Bob Jones Nature Area and the Grapevine Lake corridor pick up ticks and chiggers from the natural areas, on top of the mosquitoes. Yards backing directly onto undeveloped land need a treated boundary strip, not just a perimeter band.

SOUTHLAKE QUESTIONS

What Southlake Homeowners Ask Us

Why is my Southlake quote higher than my friend in Saginaw?

Treatable area. Pricing follows the size of the yard, the length of the foundation run and the amount of planted bed, and Southlake lots are simply bigger on all three counts.

We have a misting system already. Do we still need treatments?

Sometimes not. If your misting system is well maintained and covering the right zones, adding a fog program may be redundant, and we will say so. Where they usually fall short is the far corners of a large lot that the nozzle lines never reach.

Are ticks a real concern here?

More than in most of our towns, because of the natural areas and lake corridor to the north. If your property backs onto undeveloped land, the boundary strip treatment is the part that matters most.

Will treatment hurt our landscaping or pollinators?

We do not treat blooming flowers and we work around pollinator plantings. Tell us where they are before the first visit and we will map them as no-spray zones.

Can you work around our lawn service schedule?

Yes, and it is worth coordinating. Tell us which day they mow and we will avoid treating right before it so the application is not immediately cut off and bagged.
