EDGES ON THE LAKE
How chiggers reach an Azle yard
Azle sits on the west shore of Eagle Mountain Lake with lakeside lots, established neighborhoods and acreage on the fringes, and the lake keeps all of it humid. Chiggers do not need the water itself; they need the tall grass, brush and damp shade that surround it, and around Azle that describes the back edge of a lot of properties.
Once the larvae are in the mowed yard, they find you the same way everywhere: climb a leg, stop at the sock or the waistband, feed, drop off. The itching starts a few hours later and is worst a day or two after. That timing, plus bites lined up along elastic, separates chiggers from the mosquitoes the lake also produces.
THE PRICE IN AZLE
Chigger treatment pricing for Azle homes, both counties
Whole-yard chigger coverage comes with Complete Home & Lawn Defense, and its monthly price is set by the size of the house: $40 for anything under 1,500 square feet, $40 to $51.50 up to 3,000, $51.50 to $62 up to 4,500 and $62 to $73.50 up to 6,000. Beyond that we look first and quote. Whether the lot is on the Tarrant or the Parker County side of Azle has no effect on the number.
The alternative is Home Defender at $30 to $54 a month, which handles a 25-foot ring around the house plus the eaves and weep holes, with fire ants included. Neither plan locks you in, neither charges to start, and the quote at /instant-quote is the figure you will actually be billed.

SET EXPECTATIONS
The parts of an Azle chigger problem we cannot treat away
The shoreline vegetation, the neighbor's pasture and the brush in an undeveloped lot next door are all outside the property line and all breeding chiggers. Treating your lot lowers the population that lives in your grass, which accounts for most bites, but on an Azle lot ringed by wild edges some will always come across.
Leaf litter defeats the application. Under the pecans and oaks on the established streets the larvae live at the soil surface beneath the leaves, and product resting on top of that layer never reaches them. If the litter is still there when the technician arrives, you will be asked to clear it before the yard is treated.
The edge has to stay mowed, and on a lakeside or acreage lot that means more than the lawn service usually covers. Grass that gets away along a fence or down toward the water turns back into habitat within weeks in a wet June, and a treatment cannot outrun that.
CHIGGERS OR TICKS FIRST
Chigger control against flea and tick control on an Azle lot
The two programs overlap because both pests live in the same brush line, and Azle homeowners near the lake often have both. Chigger coverage is part of the year-round yard plan, treats the whole lawn on every visit and is priced on the house at $40 to $73.50 a month. Mosquito, Flea & Tick is a separate per-visit program priced on lot size, running every 21 days April through September.
Pick by what is actually biting. Welts ringed at the sock line and waistband are chiggers and the yard plan is the fit; ticks found on the dog, the kids or yourself after time in the brush point to the flea and tick program. Mowing the edge short and clearing brush helps with both, and it is the one step that costs nothing.
FIRST VISIT ON THE LAKE
What happens the first time we treat an Azle yard

Walking to the edge
The technician goes to wherever the mowed grass stops, whether that is a brush line, a pasture fence or the slope toward the water, because that is where the chiggers are coming from. The application is concentrated there and then carried across the rest of the lawn.

Leaf litter and brush you will be asked to clear
Anything that will block the treatment from reaching the soil gets pointed out. We would rather you rake it or cut it back and get a result than pay for a visit that only treated the top of a leaf pile.

Doors, docks and sheds
Every entrance to the house gets a three-foot band, and outbuildings near the brush line are treated as part of the yard. Azle shares 76020 with Pelican Bay, and the address on the envelope does not change any of this.
