Central Saginaw was built decades ago under trees that are now 40-plus years old, and the leaf litter and damp shade those trees create is chigger habitat. The newer sections on the south and west edges, toward Lake Worth, have thinner canopy and more open lawn, and chiggers are rarely the complaint there.

When chigger control in Saginaw is not worth buying
