Who needs a year-round perimeter plan out here?
Two very different households, as it happens. Avondale is the open country filling in between Haslet and Saginaw off US-287, so an older acreage lot with a barn and a woodpile can sit directly across from a subdivision house on ground that was pasture five years ago. The acreage owner calls about scorpions and spiders staging in the outbuildings. The new-build owner calls about fire ants in graded soil.
Home Defender answers both with the same four visits: a liquid band around the foundation and three feet up the wall, a web-pole sweep through eaves, soffits and door frames, Delta Dust in every brick weep hole, a granular barrier broadcast about 25 feet out, and fire ant bait across the yard. What it costs, and why the acreage does not raise it
This plan is priced on the square footage of the house rather than the land, which is why an Avondale place on two acres and a house in town of the same size pay the same. A 1,800 square foot home is $33 to $38 a month. A 3,300 square foot new build is $38 to $46. A 4,800 square foot plan is $46 to $54, and past 6,000 square feet we measure and quote.
Where the land does change the math is the upgrade. Complete Home & Lawn Defense treats the whole yard instead of the ring and runs $40 to $73.50 a month on the same house-size bands, which is the version that makes sense when the mowed area is large. Nothing is contracted, there is no startup fee, and retreatment between the four visits costs nothing.

What this plan does not cover on an Avondale lot
A 25-foot ring does not reach a pasture edge. On the larger properties here the boundary with brush or pasture is most of the way around the lot, and that is precisely where chiggers and ticks wait for something to walk past. If that edge is your problem, the ring version of the plan is aimed at the wrong ground and Complete Home & Lawn Defense is the one to buy.
Mosquitoes are not part of it in any form. They fly over a foundation band and rest in shade you may not even own, so they sit in a separate program with a visit every 21 days from April into September.
Rodents are their own job as well. A barn, a shop and stacked wood are excellent rat and mouse habitat, and no amount of yard treatment fixes that. Rodent control is $25 a month added to a year-round plan, it is never sold on its own, and it starts by closing the openings they are actually using.

Treating the ground versus closing the building
These are two different jobs and buying the wrong one is the usual mistake on a property with outbuildings. Treatment lowers the population living in the soil, the mulch and the litter around a structure, which is what the foundation band and the granular ring do. It does not make a gap smaller, and a mouse or a scorpion only needs the gap.
Sealing is the other half. Copper mesh in the weep holes, a door sweep that actually touches the threshold, a screened vent on the shop: those close the route permanently. Delta Dust in the weep holes is part of every visit, but the copper-mesh sealing itself is an add-on we quote, and on a working Avondale property it is usually worth doing before you spend another season chasing what got in.

Where the mowing stops
On a larger lot the line between cut grass and pasture or brush is the front line, not an afterthought, because that is where the chiggers, ticks and fire ants come from. We walk it, tell you what to keep cut, and treat your side of it.
Barns, shops and stacked wood
Outbuildings and woodpiles are staging ground for spiders, scorpions and rodents before anything reaches the house. We look at them on the first visit and tell you honestly which ones matter and which are fine as they are.
The brick and the graded soil
New mortar or old, every weep hole in the bottom course gets Delta Dust, then granular product goes out about 25 feet and fire ant bait goes across the lawn. Disturbed construction ground is where the mounds will be, so that is where the technician spends the time.
