NEW GROUND IN PARKER COUNTY
Why does a new Aledo house already have mice?
Because the field it sits on was full of them last year. Thousands of homes are going up around Old Annetta Road, FM 1187 and Bailey Ranch, and every phase of grading pushes the rats and field mice that lived in that grass toward whatever structure is closest and open. A brand-new Aledo house is closest and, at the corners, open.
New brick is tight, but new construction leaves gaps in predictable places: the corners of the garage door, the hole cut for the AC line set, an unflapped dryer vent, the plumbing penetrations under the kitchen. Weep holes are clean and wide open. None of it is a defect, exactly, but every one is a door.
The older Aledo properties out toward the county line, on larger lots with barns and sheds, have a different pattern that looks more like the acreage towns: outbuildings first, house second. Either way we inspect, seal what is being used, trap, and come back.
ALEDO PRICING
What the add-on costs on a new build and on acreage
The rodent add-on is $25 a month and it rides on one of the two year-round plans; it is never priced alone. The new subdivision homes in Aledo mostly fall between 1,500 and 3,000 square feet, where Home Defender is $33 to $38, making the pair $58 to $63. The larger two-story builds at 3,000 to 4,500 square feet are $38 to $46, or $63 to $71 with rodents.
A house does not cost more because it is in Parker County; the plan follows square footage and nothing else. Where a larger Aledo property does cost more time is in the inspection, because a barn and a shop are two more buildings to walk. The monthly figure does not change for that, and you will have it in hand at /instant-quote or by text before you decide.

WHAT THE WORK CANNOT DO
Limits on a fast-growing Aledo street
It cannot pause the grading. As long as the next phase is being cut behind your fence, there will be a wave of displaced rodents testing every house on the block, and a sealed house is one they test and leave. You may still see one on the fence at dusk; that is not a failure of the exclusion.
It cannot stand in for a builder warranty claim. A garage door hung out of square, a missing dryer flap or an open soffit on a two-year-old Aledo house is the builder's to fix, and we will tell you to make that call before you pay us to trap around the gap.
It cannot be done with the sprayer. Perimeter product has no effect on a mouse, and a company that offers to treat your yard for rodents is treating your ants and renaming the invoice. This work is mesh, sealant, hardware cloth and traps.
HOME DEFENDER OR WHOLE-YARD
Which plan should carry the rodent add-on in Aledo?
The rodent work is identical on either plan, so the decision is entirely about the yard. Home Defender treats the perimeter, the eaves and 25 feet out on four visits a year, with fire ants included. Complete Home & Lawn Defense adds treatment of the entire lawn, which on young Aledo builder turf with chinch bugs and constant fire ant mounds is often worth the $7 to $16 a month difference.
If mice in the garage are the only complaint, Home Defender plus $25 is the cheaper route and it does the whole rodent job. If the yard is also a problem, which on freshly graded soil around Bailey Ranch it usually is, pair the add-on with the whole-yard plan and settle both at once.
FIRST VISIT, NEW BUILD
What we check on an Aledo house the first time out

Garage corners and the line set
On a new build we start at the garage door, where the bottom seal almost never meets the corners, then the AC line set, hose bibs and dryer vent. Each gap gets pointed out in daylight so the homeowner or builder fixes are clear.

Weep holes and the roof-to-brick joint
Clean new weep holes are easy for a mouse to use and easy for us to check. On two-story homes we also look at the flashing where the roof meets the brick, a common route where it was left unfinished.

Outbuildings, attic and traps
On the larger Aledo lots the barn or shop is inspected alongside the house, because that is where the animals stage. Inside, traps and tamper-resistant stations go on the runways in the attic insulation, and a follow-up is set.
