Does living next to Lake Worth make fleas and ticks worse?
Yes, for two reasons that have little to do with the water itself. First, shoreline lots stay damp and mild earlier in spring and later into fall than the interior streets do, and the flea life cycle runs on soil moisture and temperature, so it starts moving near the lake weeks before it does elsewhere in town. Second, the vegetation along the water is rarely mowed to lawn height, and tall grass at the edge of a mowed yard is where lone star and American dog ticks climb and wait.
Away from the shore, Lake Worth is mostly mid-century housing on settled ground under mature trees, which gives fleas the shaded soil they need and gives ticks very little. The program is the same either way: the entire lawn plus a band around the house, every 21 days from April through September. It is not a substitute for what your veterinarian has the animals on. The pet carries fleas in and the yard grows the next batch, and shutting down only one of those leaves the other running.

The older Lake Worth streets are small lots, so most of the town pays $49.95 a visit at 7,000 square feet or under, or $59.95 for a lot between 7,001 and 12,000. Shoreline properties tend to be bigger and deeper, and many land in the 12,001 to 17,000 band at $69.95 or the 17,001 to 22,000 band at $79.95. Whether the address mails as Lake Worth or the house is technically outside the city limits does not move the price; the lot does.
There is no contract behind any of it, no fee to start and none to stop, and the exact figure is shown before you commit. A flare-up between two scheduled visits gets re-treated at no charge, because the service is warrantied between treatments rather than billed by the callout.

LIMITS, STATED PLAINLY
What a treated Lake Worth yard will not do for you
It will not clear fleas that are breeding in the house. Once the dog has seeded the carpet and its bed with eggs, the indoor population keeps itself going regardless of the yard. Vacuuming every day for a couple of weeks, hot-washing the bedding and a vet product on every pet in the house is the indoor half of the job, and it is the half we cannot do for you.
It will not treat the shoreline past your property or the public land around the lake. We make your strip hostile and stop at the line, so a dog that swims and then roots around in the lakeside grass will still bring the odd tick home. Check it when it comes in; a treated yard does not make that step optional.
It will not work as a one-off. In Texas summer heat a flea generation comes through in about three weeks, so one application kills the adults out that day and leaves the cocoons to open onto clean grass. That is why we visit every 21 days and why we do not sell a single treatment even when asked.
MOSQUITO-ONLY VS THIS
Is a mosquito-only service the same thing as flea and tick control?
No, and around a lake the difference matters. A mosquito-only service targets the shaded foliage where adult mosquitoes rest during the day, and it does that well. It is not aimed at the ground, which is where flea larvae live, or at the grass stems along a boundary, which is where ticks hold.
The Mosquito, Flea & Tick program covers all three because they are treated at the same visit: the foliage for mosquitoes, the turf and shaded soil for fleas, and the boundary strip for ticks. On a Lake Worth lot near the water, where mosquitoes are the obvious complaint, the flea and tick half is often the part people did not know they were buying. If you have no pets and nothing crawling on the kids after the yard, a mosquito service alone is a fair choice.

What we look at on a first Lake Worth treatment
The water end of the lot
On a shoreline property the strip nearest the lake comes first: how far the mowing reaches, where the grass stands tall, where the ground stays soft. That band is the tick habitat and it gets the most product.
Lawn, shade, foundation
The full lawn is treated with extra attention to the strips still damp at midday, then a band around the house so nothing travels the slab edge to the door. Pets stay in until it dries, roughly two hours in summer.
Asking about the animals
We want to know what the dog or cat is on and how recently. If nothing, we say straight out that the yard treatment alone will not hold, because a pet without prevention keeps carrying fleas indoors.
