Perimeter Pest Control in Pelican Bay, TX

A treated barrier on the house and the ground beside it, four times a year, for a small city sitting right on the west shore.

RIGHT ON THE SHORE

Who this plan is for in Pelican Bay, and who should skip it

It is for you if things are getting inside or setting up on the structure: ants on the counter, wasps rebuilding under the eave, webs across the porch light, a scorpion in the laundry room, crickets or roaches at the door on a hot night. Pelican Bay is small and sits hard against the west shore of Eagle Mountain Lake, and the shoreline brush, the woodpiles and the sheds that come with lake living are where all of that starts.

It is not for you if your only complaint is getting bitten outdoors. Mosquitoes, fleas and ticks belong to a different program on a different schedule, and buying a perimeter plan hoping it will quiet the patio is how people end up disappointed. Say which problem you actually have and we will point you at the right one, even when that is the cheaper one.

THE REAL NUMBERS

What Pelican Bay homeowners pay a month

The Home Defender Plan is $30 to $54 a month across the whole price list, and pricing keys off the square footage of the house. Housing in Pelican Bay skews small and modest, which means a good share of this town sits at or near the $30 floor rather than anywhere up the table, and a 2,000 square foot place lands at $33 to $38.

That covers four visits a year, the full perimeter and eave work, Delta Dust in every weep hole, the granular ring and fire ant treatment. Retreatment between the scheduled visits is included, because the service is 100% warrantied between treatments, and one interior treatment comes with it if something has already moved in. There is no startup fee and no contract behind any of it.

SAY IT BEFORE YOU BUY

Four things this plan does not cover

Mosquitoes are the big one. On the water, the biting pressure comes off the shoreline and out of anything holding standing water, and a foundation barrier has no effect on an insect that never touches the ground. That is Mosquito, Flea & Tick, every 21 days from April through September, and it is priced on your lot rather than your house.

Termites are not ours either. They need a licensed termite operator, and if that is what you are looking at we will say so and hand you a name rather than sell you a plan that cannot help. Rodents are a third case: rats and mice are handled by a $25 a month add-on to a year-round plan, never as a standalone job.

The last one is the dock, the shed and the woodpile. Those are separate structures and separate harborage, and the treatment ring around the house does not make them safe to reach into bare-handed. Moving stacked wood off the wall of the house is free and does more for a Pelican Bay porch than any extra product would.

TREAT OR SEAL

Spraying the outside versus closing the house up

These are not rivals, they are two halves of the same job, and the order matters. Sealing is the permanent half: copper mesh in the weep holes, a door sweep that touches the threshold, caulk on the utility penetrations. Do that and there is simply less for anything to walk through, which is why we quote copper mesh as an add-on rather than pretending dust alone is a permanent fix.

Treating is the half that handles everything you cannot close. No house on the lake gets sealed to the point that nothing finds a way in, and the population outside keeps rebuilding whether you seal or not. The liquid band, the eave sweep and the granular ring drop that population before it reaches the wall, and the two together beat either one done alone.

VISIT ONE

The order the work happens in

Look first, spray second

The technician walks the property before opening a tank, noting where brush meets mowed grass, what is stored against the walls, and where the dark dry spaces are. On a small Pelican Bay lot that walk takes a few minutes and changes where the granular goes.

The band and the sweep

Liquid goes around the whole foundation and about three feet up the wall, then a web pole clears the eaves, soffits and door frames of webs and the beginnings of wasp nests. Knocking those down matters as much as the product does, because a cleared corner is a corner that has to be rebuilt from scratch.

Weep holes, ring and bait

Delta Dust goes into the brick weep holes, a granular barrier goes out about 25 feet, and fire ant bait is broadcast across the yard as part of the visit. Gate access is the only thing needed from you, and a text goes out when the technician is en route.

PELICAN BAY QUESTIONS

Perimeter Pest Control Questions From Pelican Bay

Our mail says Azle. Can we still get on the Home Defender Plan?

Yes. The entire city mails as Azle 76020 and it makes no difference to the plan, the price or the schedule, since the quote is built from the square footage of your house. Send the address and a number comes back the same day.

Is $30 a month really the price, or does something get added later?

That is the real floor of the plan, and for a lot of Pelican Bay houses it is the actual price. What can change it is the size of the home, the whole-yard upgrade if you want it, rodent control at $25 a month, or copper mesh sealing. Nothing appears on the bill that you were not quoted first.

Do fire ants cost extra, given how many mounds come up after rain?

No, fire ant treatment is part of both year-round plans and always has been. We broadcast bait across the yard rather than drenching mounds one at a time, and new mounds appearing after a heavy rain are expected and covered, not a reason for a second invoice.

We are at the house on weekends only. Does that work?

It works fine. You do not need to be present for a treatment, only to leave the gate unlocked, and you get a text when the technician is on the way so you know it happened. One interior treatment is available whenever you are around for it.

Will the treatment hold up through a wet spring on the lake?

Mostly, and where it does not, that is what the warranty is for. Heavy rain and high humidity shorten the life of any exterior barrier, which is exactly why the plan runs four visits a year and covers a return trip between them at no charge instead of promising one spray will last.
