Book an event mosquito treatment for 24 to 48 hours before guests arrive. That window lets the product dry and settle while still being at full strength on the day. Treating the morning of an event is too late to be at its best and risks wet surfaces.
Why 24 to 48 hours
The application needs a few hours to dry, and its effect on the resting adult population builds over the first day. Treating two days out gives you the peak of the curve on the day of the event rather than the front edge of it.
Book earlier than you think
In May and June the event calendar fills, because everybody in North Texas is having their outdoor thing in the same six weeks. A week of notice is comfortable. Two days of notice in peak season may not be possible, and we would rather tell you that than squeeze you in badly.
What we treat for an event
The same shaded resting habitat as a normal visit, plus particular attention to wherever guests will actually be: the seating area, under the tent or arbor, the path from the driveway, and any dense planting next to where people will stand.
Practical notes for the day
- Tell us where food will be served so we keep well clear of it
- Tell us about any pollinator plantings and we will map them as no-spray
- A box fan or two in the seating area meaningfully helps on a still evening
- If rain is forecast between treatment and the event, call us and we will re-plan
