Why We Treat Outside Your House, Not Inside

Interior spraying is mostly theater. Here is what the outside-in method does differently and why it keeps product away from your kitchen.

Almost every pest found indoors nested outdoors first. Treating the interior kills what already got in and does nothing about the source, which is why interior-heavy programs need constant repeat visits. Building the barrier outside stops the population reaching the door.

Where they actually come from

Ants nest in soil and mulch. Roaches live around the foundation and in drains. Spiders follow the insects to the eaves. Scorpions come through weep holes hunting all of the above. The house is where you notice them, not where they live.

What interior spray really achieves

It kills the individuals present and leaves a residue on baseboards where people and pets spend their time. Meanwhile the colony outside is untouched and keeps sending foragers. That is the treadmill a lot of homeowners have been on for years.

The outside-in method

  • Liquid barrier around the foundation and three feet up the wall
  • Eave and soffit sweep to remove webs and nests
  • Granular barrier out into the beds and turf where the population lives
  • Physical exclusion at weep holes, door sweeps and penetrations
  • Interior treatment only on request, and rarely needed once the outside is right

The safety argument

Because the work happens outside, the products stay away from your kitchen counters, your kids playing on the floor and your dog's bed. That is not a marketing position, it is a straightforward consequence of treating where the pests actually are.

When inside is genuinely warranted

An active interior infestation, a serious roach problem or a rodent issue in a wall may need interior work. We include one interior treatment a year on the plan for exactly those cases. Most customers never use it, which is the point.
