What a Perimeter Spray Actually Covers

A perimeter treatment is not one spray. It is a foundation band, a liquid barrier three feet up the wall, an eave and soffit sweep, and a granular ring roughly 25 feet into the yard. Each element targets a different route, and skipping any of them is why a cheaper quote does not hold.

The foundation band

Liquid applied where the wall meets the ground, which is the path almost every crawling pest uses. This is the core of the treatment and the part everybody does.

Three feet up the wall

Crawling pests climb. Ants, roaches and scorpions travel vertically on brick and siding to reach weep holes, windows and vents. Treating only at ground level leaves that route open, which is why the band goes up rather than just around.

The eave and soffit sweep

A web pole across the eaves, soffits and door frames removes wasp nests and spider webs and treats the surfaces they rebuild on. This is the step most often skipped by competitors, and it is why some houses get the same wasp nest in the same corner every single year.

The granular ring

Broadcast out roughly 25 feet into the turf and beds. This treats the population where it actually lives rather than where it arrives, which is what stops the barrier being constantly re-pressured from outside.

Why it is quarterly

Products break down under Texas sun and rain over roughly three months, and pest pressure shifts through the year. Four visits track those seasonal changes: spring emergence, summer peak, the late-summer move indoors, and overwintering. It is a schedule built around the pests rather than around billing convenience.
